Lawyer (3-6 PQE) Commercial Litigation

About the role

Clayton Utz is seeking a motivated Lawyer with 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience to join its market‑leading Commercial Litigation team in Brisbane. You will work alongside senior partners on high‑profile, complex disputes for corporate and government clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full litigation lifecycle, from commercial negotiations and ADR to court proceedings.
• Prepare and attend interlocutory hearings and trials in the Supreme and Federal Courts.
• Handle large‑scale matters across sectors such as energy, resources, high‑end property, public‑sector disputes, commissions and inquiries.
• Collaborate with senior counsel, partners and client teams to develop effective case strategies.
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team culture and mentor junior colleagues.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years’ experience as a qualified lawyer, preferably in commercial litigation, contentious and regulatory work.
• Strong academic record and familiarity with Supreme Court and/or Federal Court litigation.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn and develop through senior mentorship.
