IS&T Support Officer – Brisbane

About the role

MPK is looking for an experienced IS&T Support Officer to join its Brisbane Support Office. Reporting to the Service Support Manager, you will be a frontline member of the IS&T team, handling both technical support and procurement logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑user desktop support, troubleshoot computing issues and deliver equipment and training to new starters.
• Investigate and document resolutions for incidents without known solutions.
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, including account creation, security‑group management and related permissions.
• Manage job queues, proactively identify root causes and close tickets efficiently.
• Oversee IS&T asset stock, commissioning, decommissioning and maintain accurate records in asset‑management and finance systems.
• Execute procurement and logistics tasks for assets, services and applications as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IS&T support or a similar technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and capacity to follow documented workarounds.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with users of varying technical proficiency.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Experience in procurement and logistics functions is highly regarded.
