ICT Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to provide strategic sourcing and commercial advice for a multi‑year modernisation project covering digital platforms, AI, automation, data services and workforce change.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic sourcing approaches and contribute to the overall procurement strategy for the project.
• Conduct procurement planning, market research, and refine specifications, statements of work and deliverables.
• Prepare tender documentation, evaluation plans and manage the tender and evaluation processes.
• Negotiate and manage ICT contracts using QITC frameworks, including contract documentation and schedules.
• Provide commercial advice, monitor supplier performance, payment milestones, variations and contractual issues.
• Manage scope, change controls and identify, manage and escalate commercial risks.

Required profile

• Practical experience developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC frameworks.
• Proven track record delivering strategic ICT procurement outcomes across sourcing, market engagement, tendering and commercial negotiation.
• Experience managing complex ICT or professional services contracts through delivery.
• Knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 and its application to procurement planning and contracting.
• Experience supporting multi‑year transformation projects, especially in digital platforms, AI, automation or data services.
