HVAC Site Supervisor

About the role

Based in Cairns, you will lead the delivery of commercial HVAC projects across Queensland and surrounding regions, overseeing installation, commissioning, testing, quality assurance and documentation to ensure safe, on‑time, high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HVAC installation, commissioning, service and maintenance activities on site.
• Manage site labour, subcontractors and suppliers to meet project milestones safely and efficiently.
• Monitor productivity, conduct site inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, plant and resources to support execution.
• Provide hands‑on leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to site personnel.
• Support testing, defect resolution and handover activities.

Required profile

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (HVAC/Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) or Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial HVAC installation, construction or retrofit.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, construction methods and site‑based project delivery.
• Current Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card and a passion for safety leadership.

Required skills

• HVAC, refrigeration and air‑conditioning systems.
• Building Management Systems (BMS) and controls technologies.
• AutoCAD, BIM, Microsoft Project, Visio.
• Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and First Aid certifications (desirable).
