High Pressure/Water Blaster Technician

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a High Pressure/Water Blaster Technician to join its on‑shore team in Gladstone. You will support the set‑up and operation of mechanical pressure systems for a range of industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up onsite liquid/air pressure systems, including pumps, hoses, generators and filters.
• Install and calibrate equipment within mechanical pressure systems under the guidance of Leading Hands.
• Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, JHAs, vehicle check sheets and equipment inventories.
• Follow EnerMech safety, fatigue, PPE and equipment‑cleaning best practices.

Required profile

• Experience in pressure testing, chemical cleaning, flange management or high‑pressure blasting.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and operate unsupervised.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn additional industrial services.

Required skills

• HPWJ ticket (use/operate level) – essential.
• Pressure testing, chemical cleaning, flange management, high‑pressure blasting.
• Heavy vehicle licence, high‑risk work licence, forklift licence (desirable).
• Construction induction (White or Blue Card), working at heights and confined space entry experience (within 2 years, desirable).
