Head of Finance Business Partnering

About the role

blueAPACHE is seeking a senior finance leader to transform the finance function into a strategic partner that drives profitable growth and better decision‑making. The role combines business partnering, financial control and the ownership of finance, billing and commercial system transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as strategic finance partner to business unit leaders, providing commercial insight, constructive challenge and decision support.
• Lead profitability analysis, pricing models and margin modelling across services, business units and customers.
• Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Maintain integrity of monthly reporting, balance‑sheet reconciliations, audit support and statutory compliance.
• Drive finance transformation agenda, including system selection, requirements definition, testing and implementation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance business partnering experience, preferably in MSP, technology or telecommunications environments.
• Professional qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA) with up‑to‑date technical accounting knowledge.
• Proven ability to influence non‑finance leaders and deliver commercial‑focused financial insight.
• Strong analytical and modelling capability with a focus on profitability and cash‑flow.

Required skills

• Month‑end close, management and statutory reporting, balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Australian tax, treasury, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Profitability analysis, cost allocation, margin modelling, budgeting and forecasting.
• Finance system transformation, PSA/CRM/ERP and billing platform integration.
• Modern reporting, analytics and workflow automation tools.
