Head of Content and Production

About the role

The Customer and Marketing Team at Myer Group is looking for a senior leader to build and run an in‑house content capability for Myer and its specialty retail brands. This role combines editorial strategy, production oversight, and cross‑functional coordination to deliver world‑class content that supports commercial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steward Myer’s content and publishing strategy, aligning it with brand positioning and customer experience.
• Lead the transition to a high‑performing in‑house content model, establishing team structures, workflows, and governance.
• Partner with the GM Marketing and Creative Director to integrate content strategy with broader marketing calendars.
• Direct the Social Media team to create always‑on strategies for multiple brands, setting platform tactics for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook and emerging channels.
• Lead the Influencer Marketing team, building a tiered creator ecosystem and overseeing briefing, production, approval and performance measurement.
• Collaborate with PR & Corporate Affairs to maximise earned media amplification.
• Build and manage Myer’s Production function, ensuring high‑volume, always‑on photo, video, motion and social‑first content.
• Manage relationships with external production, photography, video and post‑production partners.

Required profile

• Senior editorial and operational leadership experience, preferably in retail or fashion.
• Proven ability to establish content infrastructure, culture and creative standards.
• Strong partnership skills with marketing, creative, eCommerce and retail teams.
• Experience leading social media and influencer marketing programmes at scale.
