Front End Developer – Craft CMS (Contract)

About the role
Our client, a well‑established organisation with a strong digital presence, is looking for a Front End Developer to build and maintain Craft CMS websites. The role combines hands‑on development, content‑modeling and technical input into architecture, working closely with designers, stakeholders and other developers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites using Craft CMS.
- Model and structure content with sections, entry types, and fields.
- Build performant templates using Twig and Craft element queries.
- Configure plugins and customise the Craft control panel for authors.
- Implement responsive, mobile‑first front‑end solutions.
- Optimise performance (Core Web Vitals, asset loading, image optimisation).
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to scope, triage and deliver feature enhancements.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven hands‑on experience delivering Craft CMS projects in production.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage routine updates as well as complex feature development.
- Experience working from design tools such as Figma and contributing to UX/UI decisions.

- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, DeployHQ, Buddy) (desirable)
- AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS) (desirable)
- Database fundamentals (desirable)
- SEO, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager (desirable)
- OWASP security basics (desirable)
