Engineering Specialist – Mechanical Fitter

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our new high‑tech beverage manufacturing plant in Ipswich. In this hands‑on position you will ensure the plant’s equipment runs at peak performance, supporting a range of iconic brands produced at the Swanbank facility.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive equipment reliability and overall performance.
• Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on plant machinery.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and reliability projects.

Required profile

• Trade‑qualified Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or other industrial environments.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous‑improvement practices (highly regarded).
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
