Electrical Engineer – Building Services & Energy

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Darwin team, focusing on building services and energy projects across private, government and defence sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for a wide variety of projects, including private, government and defence contracts.
• Develop building services, lighting and electrical infrastructure designs in the remote tropical Northern Territory environment.
• Receive training and work on high‑voltage (HV) and low‑voltage (LV) supply authority overhead and underground distribution networks.
• Engage with clients, contribute to winning new work and deliver high‑quality design solutions.
• Produce technically complex designs that enhance the team’s reputation within the industry.
• Collaborate with the broader Aurecon network and share expertise across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong self‑management and a commitment to continuous learning in a diverse, inclusive setting.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality electrical designs on challenging projects.
• Familiarity with the National Construction Code and AS/NZS 3000 standards and ability to apply them.
• Client‑facing experience with a proactive approach to relationship building.
