Disability Support Worker (Casual)

About the role

Lumia Care is hiring a Casual Disability Support Worker in New South Wales. You will provide person-centred care to clients in their own homes, supporting them to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Provide social support and companionship
• Assist with transport to appointments, shopping and community activities
• Deliver personal care with dignity and respect (showering, grooming, dressing)
• Support clients with domestic tasks and meal preparation
• Promote independence and enhance quality of life in the home

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care (highly regarded)
• Previous experience in aged care, disability or community support (essential)
• Current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle (essential)
• Previous experience in manual handling, hoist and transfers (highly regarded)
• Mandatory: current First Aid Certificate, Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, full Australian work rights
