Diploma Educator - Community Preschool

About the role

BFS Children's Services is looking for a Diploma Educator to join its Cobblers Hill Community Preschool in Figtree. The preschool serves children aged 0 to 5 years, with a large outdoor play space, vegetable gardens, a sand pit and an oval, and two separate yards so that 0-3-year-olds and 4-5-year-olds each have a safe space to explore. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday at 8 hours per day, with a maximum term until December 2027 and 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality education and care to all children
• Contribute to planning educational programs that support a child's learning and help them meet their goals
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the community

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Qualification in Menu Planning and Nutrition (or willingness to obtain it)
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain it)
• Cleared National Criminal Record Check
• Completed the National Child Safety Training Foundation Course
• Two referees, one of whom must be a manager or supervisor at your current or most recent workplace
• Commitment to child safety, cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, and to improving the lives of children, families and the community
