Detective Consultant (Remote, Contract)

About the role

Mercor is seeking experienced private investigators to work remotely as Detective Consultants. You will collaborate with leading AI research labs, providing domain‑specific deliverables that help advance machine‑learning systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create deliverables for common requests within your professional domain.
• Review peer‑developed deliverables and suggest improvements for AI research.
• Diagnose and solve real‑world issues to enhance machine‑learning performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously, meeting deadlines while contributing to cutting‑edge AI projects.
• Collaborate with AI labs to improve research infrastructure and outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a private detective or investigator.
• Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling.
• Ability to start immediately and commit 30–40 hours per week for 3–4 weeks.
