Designer (Fashion)

About the role

Alex Perry is looking for a talented and collaborative Designer to join its creative team in Darlinghurst. Working closely with the Design Director and Creative Director, you will help shape seasonal collections across multiple categories, supporting the brand’s premium market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop seasonal collections that align with the brand’s creative vision and aesthetic direction.
• Create sketches, CADs and technical drawings for various product categories.
• Research global fashion trends, silhouettes, fabrics and market movements to inform design direction.
• Source and develop premium fabrics, trims and embellishments.
• Drive garment development and fit execution from concept through production.
• Collaborate with suppliers, pattern makers and manufacturing partners.
• Manage colour and print direction across collections.
• Support lookbook and campaign shoots, including styling and creative coordination.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in womenswear design or product development.
• Background in a high‑end luxury or premium fashion environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to premium quality execution.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with CAD software for technical drawing.
