Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

This is a highly hands‑on position for a security‑focused engineer operating in a live, fast‑paced critical‑infrastructure environment. You will act as the subject‑matter expert across Windows, Linux, networking and cloud platforms, blending detection/response with practical engineering to harden systems and resolve incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the go‑to SME for security and operations across Windows, Linux and cloud environments.
• Support platform hardening, patching and enforcement of security standards.
• Handle BAU operations and step into incidents when issues arise.
• Troubleshoot network problems end‑to‑end, including connectivity, security and identity challenges.
• Administer and secure Linux environments (access control, patching, troubleshooting).
• Manage Microsoft GSA configurations and policy enforcement.
• Oversee Azure tenants with a focus on security posture and operational stability.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network and security teams to resolve root causes.
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of operational practices.

Required profile

• Hands‑on operator comfortable in high‑tempo, real‑world operational settings.
• Strong Linux administration experience with a security focus.
• Background in security operations/support rather than purely project work.
• Solid networking fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot across layers.
• Experience with Microsoft GSA and managing Azure environments.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, especially Conditional Access and identity controls.
• Ability to handle incidents, escalations and complex troubleshooting.
• Solutions‑oriented mindset with a bias toward fixing root causes.
