Infrastructure Tech Lead (Melbourne)

About the role

ALOIS Australia is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Tech Lead to drive the System Uplift sub‑stream within the Payments Operations Program. Based in Melbourne, you will lead technical activities across enterprise infrastructure, ensuring secure, resilient, and high‑performing services for mission‑critical payment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and lifecycle management of core infrastructure components such as Active Directory, storage platforms and virtualization environments.
• Assess and optimise network services including DNS, DHCP, load balancing, firewalls and segmentation across multi‑tier architectures.
• Define and document identity and access management models, aligning with security, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Drive storage strategy, covering block and file storage, replication, snapshotting and performance tuning for transaction‑heavy workloads.
• Embed security‑by‑design principles, performing threat modelling, vulnerability management and ensuring robust logging and monitoring.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of network and platform services and their inter‑dependencies.
• Proven expertise in IAM concepts and security best practices.
• Ability to work within a complex, multi‑disciplinary program and communicate technical decisions clearly.
