About the role
The NSW Police Force is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join its Cyber Security, Technology & Communication Services team. You will protect critical digital infrastructure, applications and data that support frontline policing and public safety across New South Wales.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain technical security controls such as SIEM, endpoint protection, application control and cloud security.
- Embed security into technology platforms to ensure operational resilience and compliance with NSWPF policies and frameworks.
- Support secure system design, risk mitigation and the delivery of secure hybrid, legacy and cloud environments.
- Monitor, tune and respond to security events without disrupting critical law‑enforcement services.
Required profile
- Hands‑on practitioner who enjoys building, tuning and integrating technical controls rather than purely advisory work.
- Experience working in complex, high‑stakes technical environments, including hybrid and legacy systems alongside modern cloud platforms.
- Ability to implement strong security measures while maintaining user experience and time‑critical services.
