ICT Systems Technician (Training Systems)

About the role

CAE is looking for an ICT Systems Technician to ensure the optimal performance, reliability and availability of its training systems and associated ICT infrastructure at HMAS Watson. You will diagnose and repair hardware and software issues, maintain system integrity and provide technical support during training events.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain training system hardware and software.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve ICT incidents.
• Support network and server environments during live training sessions.
• Maintain documentation and system integrity.
• Perform additional support tasks related to training systems as required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electronics, Information Technology or Computer Networks.
• 2‑3 years of experience in ICT systems maintenance and technical support.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Understanding of network fundamentals.
• CompTIA A+, Network+ and Linux certifications (desirable).
