Customer Service Specialist (Permanent)

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for its dealer network. In this permanent position you will support customers throughout the order lifecycle, from inquiry to delivery, ensuring the brand’s high standards of service are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone and email support to dealers, delivering accurate product information and recommendations.
• Manage enquiries related to orders, warranties, returns, and parts.
• Process and monitor orders, including urgent, remake, rework, and back‑order requirements.
• Communicate order status, stock availability, and delivery timelines proactively.
• Investigate and resolve freight, delivery, and damaged‑goods issues.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth.
• Prepare and distribute reports on order status and back‑orders.
• Liaise with internal teams to clear order holds and address customer concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, order management, or a similar support role.
• Background in manufacturing, wholesale, construction, or other product‑based industries is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with a professional, customer‑focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with a commitment to see issues through to resolution.
• Team player who enjoys cross‑department collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with business systems (e.g., CRM or ERP platforms) to manage orders and customer data.
