Consultant / Senior Consultant – Sustainability & Built Environment

About the role

We are seeking Consultant and Senior Consultant talent to join our Better Cities & Regions and Better Business teams. The role will support sustainability outcomes across city, precinct, policy and organisational scales, applying technical expertise and analytical frameworks to embed environmental, social and economic sustainability in the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advisory services and research for sustainable urban development and ESG integration.
• Manage small to mid‑scale projects, coordinating with senior team members.
• Analyse climate risk, green infrastructure, energy and carbon data to inform strategy.
• Prepare sustainability reports and assessments using frameworks such as ASRS/ISSB, GRI and Green Star Communities.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop evidence‑based solutions.

Required profile

• Alignment with our sustainability values and interest in design.
• Relevant qualification in Sustainability, Design, Environment, Engineering, Urban Planning, Business or related field.
• 2+ years experience for Consultant or 4+ years for Senior Consultant in sustainability consulting or advisory within the built environment.
• Proven project management experience on small‑mid scale projects.

What we offer

• Salary $80,000–$110,000 per year plus superannuation.
