About the role
ResMed’s Precision Tooling Department in Sydney is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate CNC mills, EDM and wire‑cutting machines, create complex CAM programs and ensure high‑quality parts are delivered on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Program, set up and safely operate CNC mills, EDM and wire‑cutting equipment.
- Create and validate complex CAM strategies and toolpaths for mould and tooling projects.
- Perform CMM inspections to verify manufactured parts meet specifications.
- Support project teams with performance specifications for new tooling.
- Maintain detailed documentation and follow ISO and safety standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues to improve repeatability and reduce risk.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- At least 5 years creating complex CAM programs for mould tooling.
- Broad understanding of CNC machining and cutter technologies.
- Experience with plastics injection moulding and toolmaking environments.
