Cleaning Services Assistant - Residential Aged Care

About the role

Respect Maleny Erowal, one of the largest providers of aged care services in regional Australia, is hiring a Cleaning Services Assistant. The role keeps the facility safe, clean and comfortable for residents, staff and visitors, covering resident rooms, shared areas and facilities with high standards of hygiene and infection control. Part-time and casual positions are also available, with a rotating roster including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms and shared living areas in line with infection control standards
• Maintain common areas such as lounges, dining rooms, corridors and staff areas
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to workplace procedures
• Dispose of waste and manage linen in line with hygiene and safety guidelines
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to keep consistent, high-quality standards

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual and able to work weekends and varying shifts
• Able to follow cleaning procedures and infection control guidelines
• Good communicator who follows instructions and safety requirements
• Aged Care Worker Screening (NDIS worker screen) and induction check, or ability to obtain them
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in residential aged care is desirable
