Business Development Representative

About the role

Assignar is seeking a Business Development Representative to own the top of the sales funnel. You will be the first real conversation most contractors have with Assignar, qualifying leads, nurturing relationships, and setting up Account Executives for success. This is a remote role based in Sydney with regular travel to industry events.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify inbound and outbound leads against ICP scoring signals.
• Run cold‑email cadences and cold calls that generate replies.
• Nurture warm prospects with useful follow‑ups and turn webinar attendees into pipeline.
• Prepare detailed handoff briefs for Account Executives.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to meet contractors in person.
• Share insights with Marketing in weekly BDR syncs.

Required profile

• 2+ years of B2B sales development experience, preferably SaaS.
• Quota‑driven with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Comfortable using modern sales tools and AI‑assisted research.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious about construction operations and eager to learn the industry.
• Organised, self‑directed and able to manage your own pipeline.
