Building Maintenance Technician – Casual

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Building Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s Facilities and Maintenance team on a casual basis at our student accommodation in Redfern, Sydney. You will help keep the property in excellent condition and ensure a comfortable experience for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve maintenance requests across apartments and shared areas.
• Prepare rooms for new residents, performing minor repairs and final inspections.
• Maintain lighting, safety systems and general building infrastructure.
• Record all maintenance activities and safety checks in the internal system.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with a willingness to tackle a variety of maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents and contractors.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of building systems (electrical, lighting, safety equipment).
• Experience using maintenance management software to log work orders.
