About the role
We are seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to join our Facilities and Maintenance team supporting student accommodation properties in Sydney. This casual position involves a variety of hands‑on tasks that keep the buildings safe, functional, and welcoming for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests across apartments and shared areas.
- Prepare rooms for new occupants, performing minor repairs and final inspections.
- Maintain lighting, safety systems, and general building infrastructure.
- Record all maintenance activities and safety checks in the tracking system.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers on‑site.
- Assist residents with routine issues and provide timely support.
Required profile
- Hands‑on attitude with a strong focus on practical problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Good communication skills for interacting with residents, contractors, and team members.
