Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Hervey Bay)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in Retail Banking, you will provide customers with a seamless banking experience, meeting their end‑to‑end financial needs, conducting needs‑based conversations and educating them on digital and other financial solutions. You will work primarily in branch environments, acting as a role model and peer coach to deliver the best possible customer experience and to help customers become strong advocates for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑standard customer service and act as a role model and peer coach within the branch.
• Contribute to increased customer engagement and advocacy, creating real value for customers.
• Participate actively in bank programs and initiatives.
• Know your customer from a risk perspective and ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies.
• Ensure accurate completion of customer transactions and product fulfilment according to accreditation level.
• Maintain strong relationships to turn customers into advocates.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus, with retail experience considered an advantage.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital channels and technology.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment, including rostered Saturday shifts.
• Sound understanding of compliance and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering on ANZ’s Customer Promises.
