Audit Intermediate

About the role

William Buck, a network of Chartered Accountants and business advisors founded in 1895, is hiring an experienced and collaborative Audit Intermediate for its growing Audit & Advisory division in Sydney. You will join a young, dynamic and supportive team working closely with Partners and Managers across a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, small to mid-cap ASX-listed entities, large proprietary companies, Australian subsidiaries of global groups and not-for-profits.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Audit Managers and Partners through all phases of the engagement
• Build strong client relationships and manage all aspects of the audit engagement
• Evaluate and document the control environment and internal controls
• Review and prepare financial reports under relevant reporting frameworks
• Prepare clear, insightful audit reports
• Contribute actively to developing more junior team members

Required profile

• 1+ years' experience in a similar role
• A relevant degree in Commerce, Accounting or Business
• Working toward CA qualification
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset
• Ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and collaboration
