Associate Private Banker – Sydney

About the role

ANZ Private serves the bank’s highest net‑worth individuals and families, providing tailored advice and solutions across deposits, lending and personal banking. Based in Sydney, the Associate Private Banker will act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of private clients, supported by specialist teams.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise financial performance by growing and retaining funds under management, improving margins and identifying specialist referral opportunities.
• Deliver a high‑quality client experience through regular contact, promoting self‑service channels and meeting NPS and satisfaction targets.
• Ensure all banking and lending solutions are suitable, compliant and managed in line with required systems and credit‑risk standards.
• Adopt and champion change initiatives, providing feedback for personal and team development.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for clients and the business.
• Maintain full compliance with mandatory learning, CAD requirements and portfolio risk standards.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑management and influencing abilities.
• Knowledge of deposits and transactional banking.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to navigate bank lending processes and provide appropriate advice or referrals.
• High utilisation of CRM tools to manage the client base.
