Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer

About the role

This position is for an Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer to join a global disputes platform in Sydney. You will work on high‑profile energy, transport and infrastructure projects, handling complex litigation and arbitration matters across Australian and international jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction and infrastructure disputes arising from major transport, energy and social infrastructure projects.
• Conduct Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, expert determinations and other ADR proceedings.
• Coordinate with contractors, principals, insurers and technical experts on multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Provide advice to corporate, developer and government clients, including negotiations following project cancellations or restructurings.
• Maintain direct client contact and ownership of substantive legal issues.

Required profile

• Associate with strong experience in construction or infrastructure disputes, preferably from a leading disputes team.
• Demonstrated experience with PPPs, transport or energy projects is highly regarded.
• Confidence managing complex litigation or arbitration components and dealing directly with demanding commercial clients.
