Army Doctor – Deployable Health Units

About the role

As an Army Doctor you will deliver high‑quality clinical care across a range of deployable health units, supporting the fitness and health of service personnel. You will work in clinics, health centres and field environments, both in Australia and overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical treatment in diverse settings, including combat casualty care.
• Assist in planning and deploying health‑care teams for operations and training exercises.
• Develop health support plans to enable deployed forces and humanitarian missions.
• Support multinational operational or peace‑keeping health facilities using relevant doctrine.
• Offer technical advice during the creation of Health Support Plans and Orders.
• Operate and maintain medical resources in accordance with standards.

Required profile

• At least 17 years old at entry.
• Australian citizenship (or meet eligibility criteria for non‑citizens).
• Physically fit and able to pass a fitness test.
• Eligible for security clearance.
• Medical degree, completed hospital internship, and registration as a Doctor in Australia.
