Advanced Resident Pharmacist – 2‑Year Residency

About the role

The Advanced Training Residency provides a structured two‑year programme for pharmacists to develop advanced practice in a chosen specialty within the Alfred Health Clinical Pharmacy Service. Residents will rotate through a primary specialty and may undertake breadth placements across allied areas.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the selected specialty (e.g., Adult Mental Health, Geriatrics, Oncology).
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, medication reviews and patient counselling.
• Complete formal learning modules and meet the AdPha Registrar training requirements.
• Undertake optional external rotations at partner hospitals in regional Victoria or the Northern Territory.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of clinical pharmacy experience.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Recognition as a Resident with ANZCAP or equivalent industry recognition (desirable).

Required skills

• AHPRA‑registered pharmacist status.
• Clinical pharmacy expertise in a specialty area.
