Tour Guide for Kings Canyon Resort

About the role

Join Discovery Resorts – Kings Canyon and lead guests through the iconic Red Centre landscape. As a Tour Guide you will conduct walking tours, share the natural and cultural stories of Watarrka National Park, and ensure a memorable outback experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead guided walking tours across rugged terrain, including the cliffs of Kings Canyon.
• Provide engaging commentary on the area's natural history, geology, and Indigenous culture.
• Maintain guest safety, conduct first‑aid procedures when needed, and manage group dynamics.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting up to 20 kg, kneeling, squatting, and operating basic equipment.
• Handle chemicals and machinery in accordance with safety protocols.

Required profile

• Previous experience guiding walking tours in remote or rugged environments.
• Passion for the Red Centre’s natural and cultural heritage.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Valid open driver’s licence (essential); NT driver’s authorisation is desirable.
• Positive, engaging personality with strong storytelling ability.
• Willingness to live and work on‑site in a remote location.
