Technical Administration Officer

About the role

A temporary Technical Administration Officer position in Sydney, advertised by Chandler Macleod, provides administrative and operational support within a busy Council environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate documentation, correspondence, records management and reporting that supports the delivery of community outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the City Planning and technical services teams
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence and customer requests
• Manage records and documentation using Council systems
• Prepare reports, presentations, meeting documentation and general correspondence
• Process purchase orders, invoices and administrative transactions
• Monitor workflows and assist with project and operational reporting
• Liaise with internal departments, external stakeholders and community members
• Support the administration of planning and development-related processes

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in administration, business support or project administration
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience in local or state government
• Exposure to planning, engineering, infrastructure or technical services environments
• Excellent written communication and report preparation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Required skills

• Experience using TRIM, Content Manager or similar records management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
