Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients while deepening technical expertise and advisory capabilities. You will work closely with our technical team and enjoy support from a dedicated administration and compliance group, allowing you to focus on delivering high‑quality tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical tax advice and assist clients with day‑to‑day business matters.
• Develop and implement tax planning and business advisory solutions.
• Collaborate with the technical team on complex tax issues as needed.
• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and management reports for individuals, companies, trusts and family groups.
• Utilise Xero and other cloud‑based accounting software to deliver efficient services.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of Australian public practice experience.
• Proven ability to prepare financial statements and tax returns for a variety of entity types.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
• Excellent communication, relationship‑building and organisational skills.
• Self‑confident in managing client relationships with a positive, learning‑oriented attitude.
