About the role
This is your chance to be part of something new. Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of the newly launched Parklands Social: NY Deli & Grill.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service across the restaurant, hotel, and events.
- Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
- Assist with menu development, specials, mise en place, stock management, ordering and cost control.
- Step in to manage the kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior chef role.
- Strong technical culinary skills and a genuine passion for food.
- Ability to lead and develop a kitchen team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organised, calm under pressure and committed to food safety and waste minimisation.
