Software Engineer – Full-Stack & AI/ML (Australia)

About the role

White Bay is seeking its first technical hire in Australia to help scale its AI infrastructure platform for enterprise logistics and supply‑chain automation. You will work closely with the Country General Manager and customers to deliver AI‑powered solutions that automate voice, email, and workflow tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner directly with enterprise customers from onboarding through optimisation of AI worker deployments.
• Build new features, MVPs, and scalable integrations that drive customer outcomes.
• Develop robust full‑stack applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Design, implement, and iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompt engineering, voice tuning, and transcription optimisation.
• Manage API integrations with third‑party and enterprise systems to ensure seamless operation.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver tailored solutions.
• Help establish the local go‑to‑market and deployment playbook.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality.

Required profile

• Strong full‑stack engineering background with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on Python proficiency.
• Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML applications, including LLM prompting and fine‑tuning.
• Solid understanding of API management and third‑party system integrations.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Founder mindset – autonomous, ownership‑oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity.
