Senior Project Engineer - Towers

About the role

ACCIONA is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer for a 500 kV double-circuit transmission line project in Melbourne, which connects more than 3,000 MW of new renewable generation to the grid and powers up to one million homes. The role reports to the Construction Manager - Towers and leads day-to-day delivery of tower works, from foundations readiness through steel delivery, erection and completion. It is a regional role, and the position includes the option to be based at camp as required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of tower works to program and methodology, coordinating foundations, steel, logistics and erection across multiple regional work fronts.
• Coordinate foundations readiness, steel delivery and erection sequencing.
• Manage interfaces between foundations, logistics, access, fabrication and erection teams.
• Resolve RFIs, technical queries and design clarifications for site teams.
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity and compliance.
• Monitor progress, risk, quality and safety, and drive recovery plans.
• Mentor project engineers, site engineers and supervisors.

Required profile

• Civil, structural or construction engineering qualification.
• Experience delivering transmission tower or structural works.
• Ability to manage site delivery across multiple work fronts and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, risk and compliance.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of foundations, steel fabrication and erection.
• RFI resolution and technical query handling.
