School Manager – Allied Health, Sport & Social Work

About the role

The School Manager will partner with the Head of School and senior leaders to drive strategic and operational priorities across three campuses, influencing how the School operates and delivers education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders on strategic planning, governance, budgeting, workforce and resource management.
• Provide trusted advice on complex operational issues and lead business improvement, change initiatives and special projects.
• Lead, coach and develop professional staff, fostering a collaborative high‑performing culture.
• Build strong relationships across the School, Griffith Health and the wider University to achieve outcomes.

Required profile

• Experienced leader with tertiary qualifications and extensive management experience.
• Strong strategic thinking, sound judgement and ability to move between big‑picture and operational detail.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, capable of advising senior stakeholders.
• Resilience, flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Full‑time permanent position based at Griffith University Gold Coast, with occasional work across other sites.
• Salary range HEW Level 9: $137,165 – $142,070 AUD plus 17% superannuation (total package $160,483 – $166,222 AUD).
