Quality and Training Coordinator – Inpatient Services Unit

About the role
The Quality and Training Coordinator supports the Inpatient Services Unit by delivering training, onboarding and quality assurance for clerical staff. You will help maintain high service standards that improve patient flow and administrative efficiency within the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct day‑to‑day quality control activities and ensure service delivery standards are met.
- Design and deliver training, education and onboarding programmes aligned with policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice on data collection, documentation and quality requirements.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to identify trends, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports and contribute to service‑improvement initiatives.
- Support change‑management and process‑improvement projects.
- Collaborate with clinical, non‑clinical, management and finance stakeholders.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships across diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to staff development and the delivery of clear, practical guidance.
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset, especially regarding data accuracy and documentation.
