Onboarding and Competency Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is hiring an Onboarding and Competency Advisor for a regional project delivering a new 500 kV double-circuit transmission line that connects more than 3,000 MW of renewable generation to the grid and powers up to one million homes. The role reports to the Manager, Operational Services and leads two safety administrators. It covers earthworks, access tracks, tower foundations, steel supply and erection, logistics and regional camp accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the competency management system and role-based competency matrices
• Coordinate onboarding of employees, contractors and subcontractors before mobilisation
• Verify licences, tickets, medicals and competency evidence before site access
• Monitor expiry dates and manage renewals, refresher training and reassessments
• Act as primary contact for subcontractor onboarding and compliance, partnering with HSE, People and Culture, project managers, supervisors, labour hire providers and training organisations
• Lead and develop the safety administrators and allocate their work
• Report on compliance, improve processes and support audits

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a related qualification
• Experience coordinating onboarding and leading a team
• Knowledge of licences, certifications and WHS requirements
• Construction, utilities, energy or infrastructure experience
• Willingness to be based at camp as required
