Mid-weight Print Designer – 9‑month Contract

About the role

Canva is looking for a mid‑weight Print Designer to join its global team on a 9‑month contract. You will create high‑quality print assets that align with Canva’s brand standards and support a variety of marketing and collateral needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and craft print materials such as marketing collateral, templates and other assets, applying strong typography, layout, colour and composition.
• Prepare print‑ready files with correct bleed, trim, CMYK colour profiles and resolution, and conduct pre‑flight checks.
• Manage file packaging, export requirements and ensure designs are functional, editable and scalable within Canva templates.
• Develop modular, reusable design systems for print and contribute best‑practice guidelines.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate ideation, generate variations and streamline production workflows.
• Collaborate with design, product and print stakeholders, communicate decisions and participate in critique sessions.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in visual design fundamentals, especially typography, layout, colour and composition.
• Experience creating polished, production‑ready print designs that meet brand quality standards.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor and communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills
