Manager, Supply Chain & Operations (Procurement)

About the role

EY is seeking a Manager in Supply Chain & Operations focused on Procurement strategy, category management and digital procurement. The role is based in Melbourne and works across consumer and life‑sciences sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver procurement engagements covering operating model design, strategic sourcing, cost‑out, purchase‑to‑pay optimisation and technology implementation, including AI solutions.
• Apply procurement expertise in large FMCG, life‑sciences and retail organisations to improve cost management, productivity and capability.
• Contribute to broader supply‑chain initiatives such as inventory, network optimisation and manufacturing excellence.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of recent operational or consulting experience in procurement within life‑sciences or consumer sectors.
• Strong analytical, data‑driven problem‑solving skills and ability to navigate cross‑border operational challenges.
• Proven leadership in mentoring diverse client teams and communicating insights to senior executives.
• Experience managing project delivery, budgets, risks and client relationships while identifying business development opportunities.

Required skills

• Expertise in procurement strategy, category management and digital procurement solutions.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled procurement technologies and purchase‑to‑pay systems.
