Intermediate Accountant - Business Services

About the role

BlueRock, a multidisciplinary firm serving business owners and investors, is hiring an Intermediate Accountant for its Business Services practice in Melbourne. The role sits within the compliance function, helping clients meet their compliance and tax obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns
• Prepare and lodge BASs, IAS and FBT returns
• Assist clients with other statutory obligations such as payroll tax and WorkCover
• Work with a diverse range of clients on tax planning, financial modelling and client meetings with senior team members

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience with a mid-tier firm working with SMEs
• Degree qualification and CA completion (or near completion)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and exposure to financial modelling engagements, including budgeting, cash flow forecasting and valuations

Required skills

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent Xero skills
