FOH Venue Manager

About the role

A brand-new venue in Sydney is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager or Senior Duty Manager to lead its front-of-house food and beverage operation. The venue combines open-kitchen dining, cocktails, two bars and a lively entertainment atmosphere, and the manager will build a strong team and create a welcoming experience for casual diners, social groups and corporate events. The role is full time, around 38 hours per week, with no graveyard shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and develop the team
• Lead service across dining, bars and events
• Manage rosters, labour costs and stock
• Set service standards and build a positive team culture
• Work closely with the kitchen and wider venue leadership
• Drive sales and find new ways to improve the guest experience

Required profile

• Experience in a busy restaurant, bar or hospitality venue
• Hands-on approach and strong leadership skills
• Commercial awareness across labour, stock and sales
• Genuine passion for food, beverage and customer service
• Positive, energetic personality and confidence to bring fresh ideas
• Ability to adapt, multitask and lead from the floor
