Financial Controller – Sydney

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join the leadership team of a globally recognised entertainment organisation in Sydney. This senior position will own the finance function for the Australian business, driving compliance, reporting and strategic financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial control for the Australian entity, including reporting, tax, audit and statutory compliance.
• Manage and develop a local finance team while enhancing the performance of an offshore finance function.
• Strengthen controls and reporting as the business prepares for increased global listing requirements.
• Partner with senior leaders and international finance teams across a complex global organisation.
• Provide commercial judgement and clear communication of financial results.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a listed organisation.
• Strong technical accounting, Australian tax, audit and statutory reporting expertise.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Autonomous problem‑solver with excellent communication skills.
• Big Four or Top Six audit experience is highly regarded.

• SAP or similar ERP system.
