Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

Dream Courts, a fast‑growing sport court design and installation business within the NBL Group, is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to own the finance function end‑to‑end and drive its transformation as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and budgets.
• Lead accounts payable, invoicing, progress claims and debtor follow‑up, supervising an accounts officer.
• Run end‑to‑end payroll, including superannuation, STP and award compliance.
• Own job costing, WIP and project profitability reporting across all jobs.
• Maintain BAS, IAS, super and payroll tax obligations.
• Rebuild finance systems, controls and processes, trialing AI tools where beneficial.
• Coach leaders and teams on financial performance and align reporting with NBL Group standards.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified and comfortable running a solo finance function in a small‑to‑medium business.
• Hands‑on experience in finance transformation or rebuilding finance operations.
• Strong background in construction, trades or project‑based businesses.
• High standard of accuracy, organised, reliable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to work four days onsite in Bayswater and one day in Cremorne.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero or MYOB accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
