Casual Lecturer – Business (HR Management or Health Ethics)

About the role

Education Centre of Australia (ECA), in partnership with the University of Tasmania (UTAS), is seeking two casual lecturers to deliver business units at its Melbourne Study Centre. The role involves teaching either a Bachelor of Business subject such as Human Resource Management or a Master of Health Services Management unit such as Health Ethics, Law and Governance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly classes and workshops in an engaging, high‑quality manner.
• Provide academic counselling and support to students who need additional assistance.
• Assess student work and give detailed, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the Academic Manager and Learning Support Coordinators to monitor at‑risk students and implement early‑intervention strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of teaching scholarship and the relevant discipline through professional development.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline (Business, Management, Health Services Management, etc.).
• Minimum two years of experience teaching in higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver content to diverse, international student cohorts.
• Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and eager to grow within the education sector.

Required skills

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to assess academic work and provide clear feedback.
• Knowledge of university policies and student support processes.
