About the role

Hastings Deering is offering a structured work‑experience placement for students interested in heavy‑equipment, mining, construction and engineering. The 2026 program provides hands‑on exposure to daily operations of a leading Caterpillar dealer, including workshop, parts, logistics and customer service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and assist experienced technicians in workshop and field activities.
• Support parts and logistics teams with basic tasks under supervision.
• Participate in safety briefings and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Assist customer service staff with routine inquiries and documentation.

Required profile

• Enrolled student with strong willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude, reliable and respectful of team environments.
• Good communication skills and commitment to safety.
• Interest in mechanical, engineering or trade‑related fields.
