Virtual Health Clinician – Registered Nurse (Remote)

About the role

Join the Virtual Health team to provide telephone‑based clinical assessment and health advice to Australians nationwide. You will handle a wide range of calls, from acute and sub‑acute concerns to mental health, adult and paediatric enquiries, guiding callers to the appropriate care pathway.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessments.
• Provide accurate health advice across all age groups and clinical presentations.
• Determine urgency and recommend the most suitable care pathway.
• Refer callers to GPs, urgent care clinics, or virtual emergency departments as needed.
• Utilise telehealth platforms and digital tools to document and manage calls.

Required profile

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 3 years recent RN experience in acute, emergency or complex primary care.
• Proven ability to apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in high‑pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills for diverse populations, including those with mental health concerns or limited health literacy.
• Residence within Australia and a reliable home workspace with internet.
