Village Manager (FIFO) – Remote Site, Labona, QLD

About the role

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Village Manager to lead the daily operations of a large remote village in Labona, Queensland. This FIFO position (8 days on, 6 days off) requires hands‑on leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality accommodation, catering, housekeeping, and grounds services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all village services, including accommodation, catering, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance.
• Lead and develop diverse operational teams, handling workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Maintain strong client, stakeholder, and employee relationships while meeting contractual KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, HACCP, and company standards.
• Monitor budgets, costs, financial reporting, and overall financial performance.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety meetings.
• Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale village, accommodation, hospitality, or remote site operations.
• Strong leadership background with diverse operational teams.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety, HACCP, workplace health and safety, and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering services against KPIs.
• Financial acumen including budgeting, reporting, and cost control.
• Physically fit, able to work long shifts and endure extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to obtain a recent National Police Check and pass pre‑employment medical screening.
